Contact CostlyHome

Questions, corrections and calculator requests are all welcome. We read everything, and corrections backed by a real quote are the most valuable thing you can send.

  • No email required
  • No phone number
  • No contractor calls

Email

hello@costlyhome.com

We aim to reply within a few business days. There is no contact form on this page for the same reason there is no lead form on the calculators. We would rather not collect your details at all than collect them and promise not to misuse them.

When emailing about an estimate, include:

  • Which calculator you used
  • The inputs you entered
  • Your state
  • The actual quoted or paid figure

Reporting a cost that looks wrong

This is the most useful message you can send. If you have a real quote or a real receipt that differs substantially from our estimate, we want to know. That is exactly the feedback that improves the model.

Please include the calculator you used, the inputs you entered, your state, and what the actual figure was. If the difference is explained by something our model does not capture (difficult access, a specialty material, an unusual site condition), that is useful too, because it might be something we should be asking about.

Suggesting a calculator

We are building toward broader coverage of home improvement projects. If there is a project you tried to price and could not find a decent calculator for anywhere, tell us. Requests genuinely influence what gets built next.

What we cannot help with

We cannot recommend, refer, or connect you with contractors. We have no contractor relationships at all, which is deliberate. It is what lets us publish estimates without a lead form attached.

We also cannot give engineering or code advice for a specific project. Whether your footing is deep enough or your ledger is attached correctly is a question for your local building department or a licensed professional who can see the work.
